Estadio Futuras Promesas – UMECIT

Until recently, Estadio Futuras Promesas had no permanent sports lighting system in place. This limited the stadium's ability to host evening training sessions, competitive fixtures and other events after dark.

The challenge was to introduce a completely new lighting system capable of delivering consistent, high-quality illumination across multiple sporting areas, including the main football pitch, a secondary pitch and a running track.

Lighting quality was particularly important, with the venue requiring suitable conditions for television broadcasting alongside improved visibility and visual comfort for players, referees and operational staff.

The new system also needed to offer flexibility, allowing the stadium to adjust its lighting for different sporting activities and special events.

Working in partnership with local partner Copab, Midstream delivered a brand-new LED sports lighting solution tailored to the stadium's requirements.

The installation included 35 Midstream Master MR15 LED floodlights, mounted on 20-metre poles to provide powerful, uniform illumination across the sporting areas.

Operating at a colour temperature of 5000 K, the floodlights deliver clear, high-quality white light, providing the visibility needed for training, competitive matches and broadcast use.

The new installation achieves:

• Average illuminance: 500 lux
• Lighting uniformity (U₀): 0.70
• Installed luminaires: 35 × Master MR15 NS (RV)
• Mounting height: 20 metres
• Colour temperature: 5000 K

With excellent lighting uniformity and controlled glare, the new system provides consistent visibility across the playing areas, helping to minimise shadowing and create a more comfortable environment for players and officials.
